Nancy Currie Moore

Nancy enjoys painting “the old ways” of the south, old houses, old quilts, old china and the folksiness and beauty of the south and the Appalachian Mountains. She also paints life-size murals for interior design.

She is a member of various painting societies and leagues. Nancy’s paintings hang in many private collections from coast to coast. Her work was recognized for her paintings of In-The-Oaks in Black Mountain and the faces of Christ at St. Philip’s Church in Brevard NC, where she also painted the mural of Noah’s Ark in the nursery.

When asked about her work, Nancy says:

I paint because the creative center of my being calls to be expressed and helps me capture the spirit of joy in each day. That is what color is all about – sheer joy! I feel so blessed to be doing what my heart desires and my soul longs to do – and that is create art. If there be any praise and if there be any glory, it belongs to the giver of this gift to my Lord and Savior, God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit of God.
